The possible confirmation of Israel’s withdrawal from this year’s Hinioch is seen by seasoned observers as part of a broader context of diplomatic and political developments. Last, consistent, the Israeli government wants to continue the path of normalizing relations with Ankara.

“Hiniohos” is an exercise that has received wide international notoriety, but the Israeli armed forces have even in recent weeks participated in naval and other less impressive but important exercises with the Greek military.

It is also recalled that Israel is developing the International Aviation Center in Kalamata, which Athens aims to turn into an aviation training center for the entire region.
