
Members of the Legal Affairs Committee European Parliament voted unanimously today to lift the immunity of MEPs Marc Tarabella and Andrea Coccolino at the request of the Belgian authorities.
In particular, the Legal Committee voted to lift the immunity of two MEPs by 23 votes against and abstentions.
Frenchwoman Manon Aubrey of the Left Party is a speaker on the lifting of the immunity of two MEPs and former members of the Socialist Group of the European Parliament.
The date of the vote, which will take place at the plenary session of the European Parliament regarding the removal of immunity from two MEPs, has not yet been determined.
Voting will take place either at a mini-plenary meeting in Brussels (February 1-2), or at a plenary meeting in Strasbourg (February 13-16).
