There are quite a few films of relatively recent release that have led us to say that…cinema passes through the stomach. Last years “Menu” from Mark MilonIt was a delightful satire on the world of haute cuisine and the bourgeoisie (so much so that some associated the film with the closure of Noma), most “Triangle of Sorrow” from Ruben Ostlund unfolds in a meal on board that didn’t work out particularly well, while before that o Philip Baradini gave us 2021 “Boiling point”, a scathing 90-minute one-shot about what it’s like to work in a restaurant.
Now the continuation of the “Boiling Point” story is about to be written for television, in one 5-episode mini-series from the BBC, filming has already begun Manchester.
The action takes place 6 months after the events of the film, when your chef Carly (played by Wynette Robinson) opened her own restaurant taking with him a few people from his party Instead of (Stephen Graham).
From the cast of the film, we’ll see you again in the series Wynette Robinson, Stephen Graham but also Hanna Walters, but also their Ray Panthaki, Gary Lamont, Ayn Rose Daly, Taj Skylay, Daniel Larcay, Stephen Macmillan, Hannah Treilen and Izuka Hoyle.
Director Philip Baradini will direct three episodes of the series, while the series also features the film’s co-writer, James Cummings.
According to Variety.
