
Earthquake 5.9 on the Richter scale It happened on the Turkish-Iranian border on Saturday, as a result of which houses were destroyed in a provincial Iranian city, Iranian media and the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) reported.

Iranian media reports that the earthquake was magnitude 5.9 degrees and was noted near the city Hey in his province Western Azerbaijan from Iran.
Iranian emergency officials said rescue teams were sent to the area and hospitals were put on alert.
The official told state television that it was snowing and there were power outages in some earthquake-affected areas.
