
The “record” of convictions for bad checks had one 62 year old Greek woman businessman arrested in Peania.
They were pending against her in total 38 convictionswith full imprisonment 379 months for “offenses of violating check laws, issuing false checks, non-payment of accrued wages to employees, non-payment of employer social security contributions, and non-payment of employee social security contributions.”
The police found her and proceeded to arrest her on Lavriu Avenue.
According to EL.AS., the 62-year-old was a co-owner of a private healthcare business and allegedly constantly wrote bad checks to pay off the company’s financial obligations. In addition, accrued wages to their employees, employer’s contributions to insurance authorities, as well as insurance premiums of employees were not paid in a timely manner.
The detained woman was taken to the competent prosecutor’s office.
