In defense of all their manipulations in the case telephone monitoring Head of ADAE yesterday continued Christ Rammos, responding to the criticism he received from the government after his initiative to inform the President of Parliament, political parties and the Minister of Justice in letters about the results of the inspections carried out by the Office. At the same time, he describes the statement that he aspires to play the role of a politician as “deeply insulting” to his honor and reputation.
Mr. Rammos indicates in his statement that he did not initiate the meeting with Mr. Alexis Tsipras, but the President of SYRIZA visited ADAE. He added that he had regular contact with the competent minister, Mr. Giorgos Gerapetritis, and two meetings on his own initiative with the Minister of Justice, while the Prime Minister never requested a meeting with him.
He called the statement that he aspires to play the role of a politician “deeply insulting” his honor and reputation.
With regard to the information that the Office could provide, he stated that he had never said that the information of political leaders should be limited to the presentation of statistical data. In a statement, Mr. Rammos defends ADAE’s right to conduct vendor reviews because, he argues, the agency doesn’t even have a digitized record of the privacy removal provisions, which he says the State chose to hand over in paper form.
Referring to the conclusion of the prosecutor of the Supreme Court, the head of ADRA states that the conclusions of the prosecutor’s office are respected as scientific legal texts, but are not binding.
PASOK President Nikos Androulakis was put in a confrontation over the head of ADAE yesterday, who stressed that “it is unthinkable to brutally persecute people who fight for Independent Power and Citizens’ Rights.” He added that “the dilemma of the next election will be either those who are capable of anything as long as they hold a position in power at the expense of public interests, institutions and democracy, or those who are able to sacrifice everything for the sake of social peace, prosperity and respect for human rights in the country. This faction has always been aloof from the second critical political system that ultimately kept the country in the eurozone.”
