
Mikaela Shiffrin claimed another victory at the Alpine Skiing World Cup, just one day shy of Lindsay Vonn’s legendary record.
The American won the giant slalom in Kronplatz (Italy), and now stands on the threshold of 84 victories in the Alpine World Cup.
After two races, Shiffrin showed 2 minutes 03 seconds 28/100, followed in the rating by Norwegian Ragnhild Mowinkel with an indicator of 82/100 and Sweden’s Sara Hector with a result of 1 second 19/100.

In the overall hierarchy of the World Cup, the American remains the leader with 1517 points, followed by Lara Gut-Behrami (Switzerland – 906 points) and Petra Vlhova (Slovakia – 896).
The next two events in the women’s world race (slalom) will take place next weekend in Spindleruv Mlyn (Czech Republic).
At the age of 27, Mikaela Shiffrin can think even further: she will attack the record of the Swede Ingemar Stenmark (86 victories), the absolute leader of both sexes.
