FCSB got an important win away from Sibiu, 1-0 against Hermannstadt, in the 22nd round of the Superliga. The home team could score from a long distance, but the ball hit the crossbar.

Hermannstadt ended 2022 with two important victories: 4-0 against leaders Farul Konstanz and 1-0 against CFR Champions Cluj and returned to Sibiu after the grand opening of their new stadium.

The match started with thick fog and continued with heavy rain. FCSB dominated the game and had more chances to score, although the ratio of shots on goal was equal.

The team coached by Marius Melderasanu could have opened the scoring in the 53rd minute through Petrishor Petrescu, who hit the crossbar of the Tyrnovan goal with a deflected shot from a long distance.

The only goal of the game was scored in the 75th minute by Bilel Omrani, who entered the field for only seven minutes in place of Mikulescu, with a shot from inside the penalty area.

New transfer from FCSB, Dejan Sorescu, started at right back but was substituted after only 45 minutes.

FCSB climbs to third place in the standings, overtaking the level on points, but with a smaller goal difference, team “Rapid”.
