Microsoft will lay off 10,000 employees worldwide
This is the biggest layoff in Google history. This will affect all geographic regions and all major divisions.
Alphabet’s market capitalization is $1.2 trillion.
The number of employees is about 200,000, which is twice as many as four years ago. In 2015, the company had 61 thousand people, in 2017 – 80 thousand, and in 2021 – 140 thousand.
