Javi Torres, sentenced to ten months and suspended for almost two years in the Osasuna case

Spain’s Supreme Court handed down the first sentence of sports corruption for match-fixing, and current midfielder Lugo, who appealed, learned his punishment, writes Marca.

In addition to him, former Osasuna manager Angel Vizcay, former president Miguel Archanco and Torres’ former Betis Sevilla teammate Antonio Amaya were convicted.

In the 2013-2014 season, Osasuna paid Torres and Amaya €650,000 to beat Valladolid in the 37th round of La Liga and lose in the next round in Pamplona.
