Uber is in talks with car companies to develop small electric cars optimized for the city, cars that can’t reach very high speeds but can be used to transport passengers or make deliveries. The announcements were made at the Davos summit, an event organized by the Wall Street Journal.

These can be vehicles in which passengers can sit side by side, and for those who deliver products, they can also be mini cars with two or three wheels but with more storage space, vehicles that are easy to park and squeeze through heavy traffic.

Uber has long announced that it wants a large portion of its fleet to be electric by 2030 in several major countries, with a 2025 deadline for the United Kingdom. The company is working with an electric vehicle manufacturer called Arrival SA in the UK. to develop a city car suitable for the services provided by Uber.
