Oradea will be the first city in Romania where biological samples will be transported between hospitals by drones. The first such transport, which will be a test, will take place on Friday, January 20, writes Bihon.ro.
The first such transport will be carried out along the route “City hospital – anti-tuberculosis hospital – maternity and district hospital”.
The drone can carry up to 3 kg, and the speed of movement is 40 km/h. The duration of such transport is 6 minutes.
In this way, laboratory samples, medicines and blood can be transported, says Gheorghe Karp, head of Oradea District Hospital.
The transportation of biological samples by drone is part of a pilot project carried out by the Bihor County Emergency Clinical Hospital in partnership with the Municipality of Oradea, the Australian company Skyy Network and the Romanian Civil Aviation Authority.
