The Competition Council has problems with attracting human resources, given that the salaries of executive functionaries have not been increased for 10 years, Bohdan Chiritsoyu said on Thursday. He said that it is not about him or the members of the Council, who all have high-ranking salaries, but about the competition inspectors, who have a net monthly income of 6,000 to 8,000 lei.
- “I and the members of the Council are paid according to the deministerial grid, and my salary is equal to the minister’s salary. My monthly income is about 18,000 lei.
- The salary issue concerns employees with executive functions, more than 200 competition inspectors, who have a net income of 6,000 to 8,000 lei per month,” This was announced on Thursday by the President of the Competition Council, Bohdan Chiritsa.
He said salaries at the Competition Council were on par with those at the Audit Chamber, which also had the same problem.
Low wages create recruitment problems, and the President of the Competition Council hopes that these problems will be solved this year either through special legislation or when the wage law is revised, as this is a milestone in the PNRR.
