Vasile Daniel Balint, one of the sons of the underworld Sile Kemataru, was caught in Italy after fleeing from Romania and was internationally prosecuted, being sentenced to 3 years and 7 months in prison.

The Metropolitan Police said on Tuesday that a man wanted internationally on a European arrest warrant had been located a day earlier after sharing data and information with Italian authorities.

On his behalf, on June 6, 2022, the 6th District Court issued a warrant for the execution of a prison sentence, by which he was sentenced to 3 years and 7 months of imprisonment for violating traffic rules and failing to comply with the measures established by paragraph temporary order of protection.

“The Italian authorities are going to start the procedure provided for the execution of the European arrest warrant for the purpose of extradition,” the Metropolitan Police said.
