In 2022, the combined production of Dacia and Ford will exceed 500,000 vehicles for the first time, which means a new record in Romania, according to ACAROM data. Compared to last year, the increase was more than 80,000 units.
In December 2022, 35,930 cars were produced in Romania. Of these, 22,593 units were produced at the Dacia plant in Mioveni, and 13,337 units at the Ford Romania Otosan plant in Craiova.
For the whole year 2022, the production of passenger cars in Romania reached 509,465 units (314,228 Dacia + 195,237 Ford), which is an absolute record for the production of cars in Romania. The increase was 21% compared to 2021.
