Rafael Nadal completed the round of the day at the 2023 Australian Open after going without a racket. The Iberian told the referee in the chair that his racket had disappeared, and after a few tens of seconds the mystery was solved.

The child with the ball connected the wrong racket

With the score 4-3 in his favor in the first set, Nadal told the chair umpire that he didn’t have enough racket.

One of the children connected the wrong racket, and after a few moments of surprise, the Iberian explained to his opponent what had happened.

Later, Rafa took out another racket from his bag and continued the argument, much to the amusement of those present at the Rod Laver Arena.

The match between Rafael Nadal (2 ATP and the main favorite) and Jack Draper (38th in the world) continues. The score is 1-1 in sets (7-5, 2-6).
