Bianca Andreescu eliminated the favorite in the first round of the Australian Open

Andreescu, who is ranked 43rd in the world, needed one hour and 41 minutes to overcome the Czech Republic’s Marie Bouzkova (the 25th seed) 6-2, 6-4.

In the next round, Bianca will face Cristina Buxu (100 WTA), after the Chisinau-born athlete (representing Spain) beat Eva Lis (126 WTA) 2-6, 6-0, 6-2.

Ranked 75th after the unconvincing results of 2022, Redukana was emotionlessly beaten by Tamara Korpach (74th WTA) with a score of 6-3, 6-2. The match lasted an hour and 25 minutes.

In the second round, Emma faces a very difficult mission: she will meet Coco Gauff (7 seed), after the great hope of American tennis beat world doubles leader Kateryna Siniakova (46 WTA), score 6-1, 6-4. .
