
17 houses were declared uninhabitable after the Lesbos earthquake. Also, according to the Ministry of Infrastructure, office premises and a public building were declared unsuitable.
As noted, inspections and openings by engineers of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport continue today, Wednesday, January 11, at an unrelenting pace in residential, commercial and public buildings in the affected areas in the municipalities of Mythimna and Mandamado, Lesvos.
In the affected areas, damage to affected buildings (residential buildings, public buildings, school blocks, medical centers) is assessed by engineers from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.
As of the end of yesterday, autopsies were carried out in 109 houses:
- Of these, 99 belong to residential buildings, of which 17 were found unfit for habitation.
- Also, 6 office premises were checked, 1 of them was unusable.
- As for the holy temples and public buildings, 1 out of 3 autopsies was marked “yellow”, and in other buildings (warehouses, stables) 1 was declared unfit for habitation.
