The Civil Accident Report form, the solution most drivers involved in minor property damage accidents choose to avoid a trip to the police and be able to enter the vehicle for repairs, can also be filled out electronically starting October 15 after as the ASF amended the RCA rules and the Bureau of Insurers launched a mobile app in this regard.

  • “Over 71,000 accounts have been created since the program launched, with a daily average of over 300 new accounts. Also, during this period, more than 6,600 road accident participants signed a settlement agreement in electronic format. In approximately 15% of these cases, in 3,300 traffic accidents, both participants had accounts created at the time of the settlement agreement. BAAR announced on Thursday.

The Amiabila app, developed by the Bureau of Motor Insurers, does not replace the current paper settlement agreement form that is still distributed by insurers and intermediaries, but is a digital alternative for reporting road accidents that simplifies the entire process.

Drivers can receive notifications about expiration of rights, ITP, rovigneta, RCA and CASCO

The Department of Road Transport announced that from January 10, 2023, the application will introduce a new mechanism for setting notifications about the expiration of the validity period for ordinary documents that accompany the vehicle or are necessary in movement, as well as those that serve to fill out a peace statement (driver’s license, ITP , rovignette, RKA and CASCO).

For each type of notification, you can choose several notification options (5 days, 15 days or 30 days) and choose the preferred method of receiving them, that is, directly in the application or by e-mail.

Another improvement concerns the ability to select the location of the event on the road, if for some reason GPS location is not used.

New features are also included in the application registration process, verification of a different email address if the account is created with only one of the users involved in the accident, and last but not least, the implementation of the automatic update mechanism of the application after each release of its new version.

We remind you that “Amiabila” in electronic format can also be concluded through one phone, available both for phones with the IOS operating system and for phones with Android.

For ease of filling out the form, BAAR recommends that both drivers install the app. Thus, the necessary data of one of the participants can be automatically transferred to the phone of the other, simply by scanning the QR code generated by the application.

VIDEO How the Amiabila application works

The document is filled out only if a maximum of 2 cars were involved in the accident and there are no bodily injuries or other material damage, except for two vehicles, in such cases the police must be informed about the accident.

The form “Resolution on Peaceful Accident” in electronic format reproduces the same graphic model, with the same information and has the same legal force as the paper one, in accordance with legal norms.

At the same time, it should be noted that the application is free and can be downloaded from Google Play and App Store directly to the smartphone.

How to use Amiabila involves following a few simple steps, summarized as follows:

  • At the first stagethe user downloads the app directly to their phone or mobile phone and then creates a user account.
  • At the second stage, he fills in his personal data required by the application (driver’s license, technical license, identity card, RCA policy). Information from these documents can be automatically entered into the “Accident Settlement” form in electronic form.
  • The third stage refers to the method of drawing up a road accident sketch. The application offers rich infographics from which the user can select both external elements (intersections, road signs, traffic lights, etc.) and the position of the two vehicles at the time of the collision.

It is also easy to emphasize the damage caused by simply pointing the arrow in the area of the deformed body elements.

A settlement agreement can be concluded by both drivers with the help of a single phone call. One’s personal data can be automatically transferred to the other participant’s phone by simply scanning a QR code, provided both drivers have the app installed on their phones. Otherwise, one of them will have to manually fill in the other user’s data.

The final document obtained in this way is signed by two drivers, after which the program automatically generates an amicable conclusion.
