Ikea is issuing a recall to repair some mirrors that may have broken wall mounts. The company urges all customers who own the LETTAN target mirror to stop using it and order a free replacement of the wall mount accessories.
What the company says
We are issuing a recall campaign for the repair of LETTAN mirrors dated up to and including 2105 (AASS) due to the risk of damage to the wall mounting accessories.
IKEA develops products using a rigorous risk assessment and testing program to ensure they meet all applicable laws and standards in the markets where they are sold.
Despite this fact, it has come to our attention that some accessories for LETTAN wall mount mirrors have broken.
This caused some mirrors to fall unexpectedly. Therefore, we urge all customers who own a LETTAN target mirror to stop using it and order new wall mount accessories free of charge.
IKEA apologizes for any inconvenience caused by this recall campaign.
