Real Madrid (champion of Spain) opened the score with Benzema (’39, penalty), but Valencia (finalist of the Spanish Cup) equalized with Lino (’46).
In the shootout, Carlo Ancelotti’s side scored through Benzema, Modric, Kroos and Asensio, while Gennaro Gattuso’s side scored through Cavani, Moriba and Guilliamont (Comert and Gaia missed).
