ESPN journalists had a funny moment after Liverpool’s disappointing result in the FA Cup against Wolverhampton, writes the Daily Mail.

“I’m not sure if you’ve ever played football, but these things happen,” said the German coach, among other things, angry at his team’s performance.

But he was referring to former Manchester City, Sunderland and QPR defender Nedum Onuoha, who played 426 games, including 232 in the Premier League.

The moment was enjoyed by the former Nigerian footballer and his teammates, who did not respond to the Liverpool boss.

“If he was in a good mood, I probably would have said something. It was the first time I interviewed someone so important in football,” Onuoha said.

Liverpool are having a poor season in the Premier League, finishing only sixth, 16 points behind leaders Arsenal of London.

At the age of 36, Nigerian Nedum Onuha retired from Real Salt Lake in 2020 and chose a career in television.
