In the last three months of 2022, the market fell to 67 million PCs from more than 92 million in the fourth quarter of 2021. The market fell to the level of the last quarter of 2018.

2022 was a weak year, and since we compare it to 2021, which was a very good year for the PC market, it is quite clear that the pandemic boom in the desktop and laptop market is over.

Average sales prices have also fallen in recent months after more than two years of growth. Many people have enough new computers that they don’t want to buy new ones anytime soon, and the fact that purchasing power has decreased is also a big factor.

Figures for 2022 suggest a total of 292 million units.

Lenovo – 23%, HP – almost 20%, Dell – 10.8%. Apple occupies 7.5% of the market, and Asus – 4.8%.

According to estimates, some segments of the market will begin to grow by the end of 2023, and the entire market may recover by 2024.ț
