Decades have passed since John Lyndon he introduced himself as Johnny Rotten and sang with the Sex Pistols. And it seems times have changed so much that over the past few years the British musician has gone so far as to express sympathy for Donald Trump while also saying goodbye to Queen Elizabeth on social media (… not human).
In a more casual but still surprising way, now Lyndon is with his other band, Public Image LLC, getting ready… to bow Eurovision.
In particular, Public Image Ltd. with a piece “Hawaii” are preparing to claim a place in this year’s European Song Contest on her behalf Ireland.
This new PiL song is for Lindon’s wife, Nora, who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease since 2020. As the musician stated: “It is dedicated to everyone who goes through a difficult life path, with the person most dear to them. It’s another message of hope that absolute love conquers all.”
The band will therefore take part in a televised contest next month to highlight Ireland’s official Eurovision bid.
We remind you that this year the event will be held in St. Liverpool, which eventually became the site of the contest, as last year’s winning country, Ukraine, is still at war.
