Meteorologists have issued two warnings of heavy rain and strong winds in Bucharest and several counties from today until Wednesday evening.

According to meteorological information, from 10:00 Tuesday to 10:00 Thursday, there will be moderate precipitation, first in the west, center and south of the country, then in other regions. From the night of Wednesday to Thursday, their range will be narrowed to the eastern and south-eastern regions. Locally, 15…25 l/m2 of water will accumulate, in places more than 30 l/m2.

In the lowlands of the relief, precipitation will be in the form of rain, in the Western Carpathians, in the east of Transylvania and Moldova, it will be of a mixed nature, and in the rest of the mountain areas, it will be mainly snow, where a layer of snow will fall. Meteorologists say there will be isolated precipitation.

In places, the wind will temporarily increase, in general, the speed will be 45…55 km/h.

The National Weather Service has also issued two yellow and orange code warnings for heavy rainfall and strong winds in the mountains.

A code yellow warning will be in place from 4pm on Tuesday until 10pm on Wednesday and will cover the capital and several counties.

In the specified period of time, there will be quantitative rains in the north of Oltenia, locally in Muntenia, as well as in the southwest of Moldova. The volumes of water accumulated in the entire interval will be more than 25…30 l/sq.m, and in the prohibited areas 40…50 l/sq.m.

In the Southern Carpathians and in the south of the Eastern Carpathians, mostly above 1000 m, quantitative snow with a layer of snow will fall. In the highlands, the wind will intensify, especially on the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, with gusts over 70…90 km/h, blowing snow and worsening visibility.

The Code Orange Warning is in effect from 6:00 PM Tuesday until 10:00 PM Wednesday.

In the counties of Prahova, Buzeu, Vranca and in the mountainous area of ​​the county of Dambovitsa, there will be heavy precipitation, and due to accumulation during the entire interval, the amount of precipitation will, as a rule, be more than 50…60 l/m2. Precipitation will be in the form of rain in low-lying areas and snow at altitudes, usually above 1000 m, where a permanent layer of snow will form locally.
