FCSB traveled to Antalya for a training camp on Sunday and the big surprise was the absence of head coach Leo Strizu. A day later, Mihai Stoyka (general manager) explained the situation of the vice-champion of the Super League.
FCSB is looking for a coach to replace Leo Striza
PRO license holder Striza was not taken to Antalya, and Mihai Stoyka has a clear explanation for this.
The 55-year-old coach will soon be shown the door as FCSB searches for a new coach.
“At the moment we don’t know if it will still be Leo Strizu or if we will decide that another PRO license holder will sit on the bench during the matches.
I don’t think anyone can force us to have a PRO licensed coach with the team in training camp if we don’t know if he’s going to continue.
We don’t know yet, we are assessing the situation. There probably won’t be any cuts left. Shall we send him there if he is not there? This is what we are doing now, we are looking for someone to sign a contract with” – Mihai Stoyka in Orange Sport.
Matches that FCSB will play at the meeting in Antalya
January 15 – (16:00 Romanian time): FCSB vs Pogon Szczecin (4th place in Poland)
January 16 – (16:00 Romanian time): FCSB vs Rakow Czestochowa (leader in Poland)
The first official match of 2023 FCSB will play against Hermannstadt. The Super League match will take place on January 22 in Sibiu at 20:45.
FCSB is 3rd in the SupeLiga standings with 38 points. The leader is Farul with 45 points, followed by CFR with 44 points.
