About an hour after the news was announced, traffic police in the Nanchang district issued a warning to drivers, warning that there was “dense fog” in the region. “The visibility while driving is bad. It is poor visibility that can provoke traffic accidents,” the police report.
“Pay attention to the fog lights (…) reduce speed, drive carefully, keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front, avoid pedestrians, do not change lanes and do not overtake,” the police added.
Traffic accidents are common in China due to the lack of strict safety controls.
Last month, one person was killed in a crash involving hundreds of cars on a highway in central China caused by poor visibility due to fog.
In September, 27 passengers died after a bus carrying them to quarantine in Guizhou province (southwest) overturned on a highway. (Source Agerpres)
