In Bucharest, two modular roundabouts were installed, the total cost of the works is 900,000 lei, the mayor of the capital Nikusor Dan announced on Facebook.
According to him, the roundabouts are located at the intersection of Petricani Road and Dimitrie Pompeiu, respectively at the intersection of Doamna Ghica and Strada Heliade Intre Vii.
“Each lane was constructed from prefabricated modular reinforced concrete elements, interconnected and illuminated by photovoltaic charging LEDs. The works were carried out at night, and the cost of each individual work was 450,000 lei,” says the mayor.
In addition, Nikusor Den emphasizes that the advantages of these transport solutions are: a very short installation time, a long warranty period of 60 months and a stability over time of more than 50 years and increased mobility, that is, they can be moved anytime and anywhere according to as needed, including in case of breakdowns.
Nikusor Dan reports that the Streets Administration will offer the Technical Road Commission other places to place such roundabouts.
