​The former leader of the WTA ranking Ashley Barty (who shocked the entire tennis world by ending her career at only 25 years old), again surprised her fans and announced her pregnancy.

To announce the happy news, the three-time Grand Slam champion posted a photo of the baby’s shoes next to one of her dogs.

“2023 will be the best year. We are very excited about our new adventure. Origi is already an older sister who protects” – Ashley Barty on Instagram.

Ashley Barty married Harry Kissick last year

The Aussie star met her husband at Brooklands Golf Club (where he worked) in Queensland in 2016 while playing golf and they have been together ever since.

Known for her restraint in her personal life and relationships, Ashley Barty talked about her husband in an interview with Vogue magazine.

“He’s very patient with me and when we met he didn’t know much about tennis. It was hard to explain to him how the circuit works and how long we have to be apart… But he is the best person in the sense that he can make you smile. I certainly wouldn’t want to share this journey with anyone else.” – Ashley Barty.
