Turkey’s president will have a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart on Wednesday, Ankara said, and later he will also speak with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky.

The gas hub project is also high on the bilateral agenda. “The Turkish side announced plans to create a center for the supply of natural gas to Europe and prices for it during the year. Three weeks ago, Mr. Erdogan announced that he had proposed to Mr. Putin a trilateral meeting with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Such a summit, he said, should be preceded by negotiations at the level of representatives of special services, defense and foreign ministers.
