Maria Sakkari, in turn, said: “I am so happy and proud of this team that I cannot put it into words. When we came to Perth for the first tournament of the year, we didn’t know what condition we were in, but I think we saw that we were in very good shape.”
He added that “our first mixed double was on this court. We know each other very well and we have great chemistry on the court and I think that’s the key to success. Of course, the more we develop as players, the better we play in mixed doubles,” he emphasized, speaking about “chemistry” with Stefanos Tsitsipas.
