Novak Djokovic impressively won his match against Constant Lestien as the top favorite qualified for the last 16 of the ATP tournament in Adelaide.

World No. 5 Nole needed just one hour and 16 minutes to beat his French opponent 6-3, 6-2. It was the first direct match between Djokovic and Lestien.

The Serb has another match with a player from France: he will meet with Quentin Halis (64 ATP).

In the same phase of the competition, other favorites such as Daniil Medvedev (7-6(6), 2-1 forfeit) against Lorenzo Sonego and Karen Khachanov (6-2, 6-4 against Pedro Kachin) also qualified.

Medvedev is the third favorite in Adelaide, and Khachanov is the eighth.

ATP Adelaide 1 will be held from January 1 to 8, is part of the ATP 250 category and has a total prize pool of $642,735. Novak Djokovic (1), Daniil Medvedev (3) and Andriy Rublev (4) remain the main favorites of the tournament.
