
The military prosecutor’s office has arrested a conscript in Russia who beat his boss to death, reports magnitorsk.ru, a local news site in the Chelyabinsk region where the incident took place.
By the decision of the military court of the Magnitogorsk garrison, the second largest city in this region, located in the Ural Mountains, on the border of Europe and Asia, the man was taken into custody for two months.
The press service of the court reported on the arrest of the recruit on Wednesday.
According to the version of the Russian investigative bodies, on the evening of December 23, an intoxicated sergeant attacked his superior, an officer with the rank of captain, responsible for mobilization, in the compartment of a military train.
The commander died on the spot from his injuries, local media reported. The Russian military prosecutor’s office did not provide more details in the case.
