If you have passed your license or are in the process of getting one, you know that the Rules of the Road are really not an easy task. If driving can be fun and, above all, more concrete, the theory test will not be a cakewalk. In addition, over the years it becomes more and more difficult, new questions and new panels appear. And if only it were possible to get precious sesame without any actions, just by doing purchase of a certificate ? A dream, right? Well, it exists, although the gendarmes have seized a wide network of traffic fraud between Toulouse, the Paris region and the Jura.

A story that goes back to 2021

It all starts in 2021. Then permit inspectors in Toulouse to report to the prefecture. Indeed, the latter notice that they see many candidates passing through their hands to obtain driver’s licenses who hardly speak French and who, nevertheless, have received the Road Traffic Rules in our country. It is surprising, because this exam still requires a certain knowledge of the language. After that, an investigation begins, which leads to the establishment of a driving instructor in Toulouse. The latter then sells certificates of successful completion of the Code for 1,500 euros to non-French-speaking foreigners. Several complications were also identified in the Paris region and in Jura.

A heavy sentence

A total of six Frenchmen and four Turks were arrested and charged with several counts: facilitating illegal stay, enhanced whitening, forgery, use of forgery and fraudulently obtaining an administrative document. In addition, 25,000 euros in cash and jewelry were discovered during the searches. Four of those involved were imprisoned, six more were placed under judicial supervision.
