Police officers of the Thessaloniki Traffic Authority have started a spontaneous arrest of a 34-year-old citizen who was involved in a traffic accident on Christmas Day while leaving the scene of an accident.

The 34-year-old driver drove onto a one-way road at the exit from the Moscow Ring Road, heading from Diagoras Street to the Moscow Ring Road, and collided with another car driven by a 35-year-old man.

After that, the first person left the scene of the accident on foot, without taking the actions required by law.

The collision of two vehicles resulted in minor injuries to both drivers, as well as a passenger in one of the vehicles. All were taken to emergency hospitals in the city.

A 34-year-old man, after undergoing a medical examination, was taken to the subdivision of the traffic police in Thessaloniki, where an alcohol test was conducted with a positive result. The detainee will be taken to the competent prosecutor’s office.
