“As for the gas industry, gas production and export will drop sharply. Compared to 2021, gas production will decrease by 12%, and exports by approximately 25%, the main reason is the shutdown of export infrastructure facilities,” he told TASS.

Novak added that the production and export of liquefied gas will increase by more than 8.7%.

In the same interview, Novak also stated that Russia plans to expand port capacity within three years to provide marine energy resources.

Summing up 2021, Novak noted that Russian gas exports rose 10 percent to 763 billion cubic meters, while exports rose 3 percent to 250 billion cubic meters.

The vice-prime minister added that Russian exports are reoriented to the Asia-Pacific region, Africa and Latin America.
