The former great Romanian athlete was invited to the “Podcast”, moderator Jeanina Jacob asked about his relationship with his current girlfriend Simona, as well as how he gets along with his ex-wife Larisa Dragulescu, to whom he was married between 2006 and 2009.

“Larisa and I want the best for the children. We were crazy, we were stupid, we were young, we were arrogant. It was a toxic relationship for both of them. Since we broke up, we understand each other better. We are doing well now, we are better as friends than as a couple. I am not interested in what he does, everyone does what he wants with his life,” said Maryan.

He was then asked if the fact that Larissa is video chatting affects their children together, Beatrice and Richard.

“Yes,” answered Maryan shortly. There followed about 15 seconds of awkward silence, during which the moderator smiled, apparently embarrassed.
