The bus, which had changed lanes shortly before and practically bypassed the signal with chains at the maximum permissible driving height, was traveling at a speed of about 40 kilometers per hour.

The footage shows how the air conditioning system on the roof of the bus hangs over the bumper, which practically falls onto the roof in the middle of the carriage, crushing the passengers below.

The video shows how easily the bumper moved, but it did not come off completely with the bus, but remained attached and acted as a trap.

Antena 3 reports that the driver said he braked suddenly when he felt he hit something with the bus.

A few seconds after the impact, cars stop nearby and try to offer help, reports Digi24.

Accident at Pasajul Unirii: The bus changed lanes seconds before the collision

The accident occurred on Friday at Pasajul Unirii in the capital involving a bus carrying Greek citizens. A 53-year-old man died in the accident. Four of the 13 hospitalized people were discharged on Sunday.

The woman, hospitalized in ATI at Floreasca Hospital, was extubated, she was conscious and contacted her family, who asked to be transported by ambulance to her hometown.

The bus driver was tested with a DrugTest device, the result was negative.

As the Highways Brigade reports, criminal proceedings have been opened under the articles of intentional homicide and intentional bodily harm.
