Blaise Matuidi ends an impressive career

Born in Toulouse, Blaise Matuidi played as a central (or defensive) midfielder and began his professional football career at EC Troyes.

In 2007, Matuidi moved to one of the most important groups in French football, Saint-Etienne, and after 4 seasons he moved to Parc des Princes in Paris Saint-Germain.

Here he won the most trophies at the club level – 16 (4 championships, 3 cups, 4 league cups and 5 super cups).

After 6 years, the French midfielder moved to Serie A, to the Turin “Juventus” and won no less than 5 trophies here (3 championships, Cup and Super Cup). While playing for Juventus, Matuidi also experienced the highlight of his career, winning the World Cup with France in 2018.

In the last part of his career, the Frenchman played for Inter Miami.

“Football, I loved you so much. Football, you gave me so much, but it’s time to part ways. I fulfilled my childhood dreams, my dreams as a man. It is with a heavy heart, but with pride, that I turn this page today! THANK YOU!” wrote Blaise Matuidi.
