David Popovich: Doubt and uncertainty can make you stronger
The great champion wanted to share a message with sports fans at the end of the year, Popovici said that he realized that he is much stronger than he thought and that doubts and insecurities can make you stronger.
David recently returned from Australia, where he achieved another important result: a silver medal in the 200m freestyle at the World Short Course Championships.
“I know I look or sound very confident most of the time, but going into the World Short Course I was doubting myself and my abilities.
Before I started, I was just trying to be realistic about what I could achieve, knowing that I don’t like swimming in the short pool, and I’m not very good at it either.
However, when I started, I realized that I was much stronger than I had imagined and that it was all in my head.
In the end, I managed to set a final junior world record in the 100m freestyle and a silver medal in the 200m freestyle, proving to me once again that doubts and insecurities can make you stronger.
Thank you all for a great year, it was the perfect way to end it” – Davyd Popovychin a personal Instagram account.
