The project was initiated by the vice-mayor Stelian Buiduveanu, and according to the approval report, it is necessary to optimize the activity of lifting illegally parked vehicles to be able to intervene, especially in cases where the movement of public or alternative means impedes traffic or when sanitation or snow removal work.

In this sense, it is proposed to extend the competence to dispose of the technical-administrative measure of removing improperly parked vehicles for the operator of the public service for the management of parking lots belonging to the public and private property of the Municipality of Bucharest.

In March, the General Councilors of the Capital City decided that vehicles parked incorrectly on the carriageway of public roads, which are part of the network of main streets of the city of Bucharest, can be taken away by the proxies of the mayors of the sectors.

According to the project that will be voted on Thursday, the lifting works are carried out by persons engaged in certain activities within the public road administrator or within the municipality of Bucharest or sectors 1-6, or their authorized operators, as well as their authorized operators. the operator of the public management service of the public or private parking lots of the Municipality of Bucharest.
