Didier Deschamps has caused concern among France fans a day before the World Cup final in Qatar. At the last training session, there were two players missing from the main squad.

Varane and Giroud are not sure before the final with Argentina

Raphael Varane is understood to have been suffering from a virus for the past two days but appeared to have recovered but was used in place of Dayot Upamecano at the center of defense in closed training on Saturday, the Daily Mail reports.

Another big surprise was the presence in the attack of Marcus Thuram instead of Olivier Giroud, who became the best scorer of France in all history.

According to the French press, it is possible that both are blamed for medical problems, or it is simply a precaution by selector Deschamps to remove them for the match on Sunday.

France will face Argentina in the World Cup final in Qatar on Sunday at 5pm.
