
A bus with 35 people, members of a folklore ensemble, who were going to a seasonal festival, overturned on the night from Friday to Saturday near the city of Pashkan.
According to ISU Iasi, the Red Intervention Plan was activated at 00:05 and deactivated at 01:35.
After the arrival of rescuers, 25 people needed medical assistance – 12 minors and 13 adults.
“At 00:03, SNUAU 112 received a call that a bus with 35 people overturned in Pashkan Municipality, 10 of whom needed medical attention. Forces and means of intervention from the inspection intervened. After a medical examination, 25 people were taken to the hospital. Two of them were taken to the children’s hospital “St. Mary” in Iasi. Out of the total number of people, 15 were between 14 and 17 years old,” said Georgika Onofreiasa, spokesperson of the ISU of Iași.
County EMS, SMURD, ISU and police crews responded to the scene, along with a heavy tow truck.
According to Diana Cimpoeşu, coordinator of SMURD Iaşi, two children in critical condition were transported from SAJ to “St. Maria” from Yass.
“In total, 7 people were transported to Iasi,” said Diana Cimpoeshu.
The bus left Botosani and was supposed to reach Yalomytsa. (Agerpress)
