The mayor of Ploiesti, Andriy Volosevych, was suspended on Tuesday evening from the NLP for six months, political sources told Agerpres. In recent months, especially amid the hot water crisis, there have been tensions between the mayor and local councilors and PNL president Prahova.
According to their data, the decision was made in the Permanent District Office of the Party by 20 votes out of 27.
In recent months, especially during the hot water crisis in Ploiesti, tensions have arisen between Volosevici and local PNL councilors, as well as between Prahova mayor and PNL president Julian Dumitrescu, who is also president of the Prahova County Council.
In addition, tensions and mutual recriminations existed between the mayor and PNL Ploiesti president Roberta Anastase.
“During the election he was proud of me, now it seems that I am not at the level of Mr. Dumitrescu and Ms. Anastase, who are playing games and who will bring the PNL to the 10-12% zone,” Volosevici told Agerpres.
