At the same time, he noted that “we have repeatedly made it clear that replacing threatening rhetoric with meaningful and honest dialogue and communication is the key to easing tensions, promoting mutual understanding and developing good neighborly relations between Greece and Turkey, as well as regionally in the Eastern Mediterranean” .

“We reaffirm that we expect serious work from Turkey to sustainably reduce tensions,” he stressed.
