Janis Hagi has signed a new contract with Glasgow Rangers.

The 24-year-old Romanian international has not played for the Scots since the start of the year after suffering a serious knee injury which required surgery.

However, Rangers believe in the potential of the Romanian international, who is expected to return to action in January 2023, and have extended his contract with a new deal until the summer of 2026.

Hagi Jr. arrived at Ibrox in the winter of 2020 on loan from Genk, and in the summer of the same year the Scots bought him permanently for 3.5 million euros.

Since then, Janis Hagi has made 85 appearances for Glasgow Rangers, scoring 15 goals and providing 21 assists. With Rangers, Janis won the title and the Scottish Cup.
