AUR leader George Simion went to the PSD headquarters on Thursday to drop off several boxes of signatures collected for the resignation of President Klaus Iohannis, but security prevented him from driving into the courtyard. The President of the AUR was met by the Social Democrat deputy Florin Manole, who told him that the address was incorrect and that he should leave the documents at the Russian embassy, which is located on Kiselyova Street at number 6.
“I think you got the address wrong. At number 6 on Kiselyov is the Russian Embassy, and if you go there, you might know the way, I think that’s where you should leave these documents. I’m telling you this because when we have a war on the border – maybe you know, right? – instability in the country is not wanted by friends, but only by the enemies of this country,” Manole told the president of the AUR.
George Simion told a PSD MP that he wanted to leave boxes of signature lists for the release of the Romanian president to someone from the party after he parked the car he was in right in front of the gates of the PSD headquarters. on Kiselyov №10.
“We want to hand them over to someone from the PSD, Mr. Manole does not seem to want to accept them, let’s see if this is the position of Marcel Cholak or if he continues to keep Klaus Iohannis, the PSD, and of course we are to blame because we did not enter Schengen , it’s Putin, you heard,” said Simion, broadcasting the entire intervention on his Facebook page.
Simion claims that two million signatures have been collected for the release of the head of state.
“There are two million signatures collected from November 2021 to May 2022, I took them to the parliament, Klaus Iohannis replied that he united PSD and PNL in the government. We are waiting for someone more calm, not as agitated as Mr. Manole, to come,” said the leader of the Ukrainian SSR.
The Alliance for the Union of Romanians organized an action at the PSD headquarters on Thursday to hand over the signatures collected in the “Jos Iohannis” campaign.
“AUR intends to inform the ruling parties about the will of a large part of the electorate regarding the resignation of the president. The legitimacy of Klaus Johannis was again called into question this week due to his outrageous statements in defense of the Austrian state in the context of blocking the project of our country’s entry into the Schengen zone,” the party said in a press release, quoted by Agerpres.
