Edi Iordenescu is convinced that Romania will look different in the matches of the qualifying group for the 2024 European Championship
Speaking live on Sport Total FM, the Romania national football team coach spoke about the change in attitude he has seen in his charges in recent friendlies and believes the tricolors have the potential to realize their biggest goals.
“We have to line up the good things, expand them, have more good moments. I’m telling you what public opinion, supporters, don’t have access to, insider information, as far as I can make it public.
I feel that another state of mind, another unity is already being created. The players understood that this is no longer a joke, it is no longer possible to come to the national team and miss the campaign.
I mean, we come, we want and see what happens, there’s nothing like that anymore. We have to come and do our best. We represent Romania and it is not a cliché, we have to be very responsible.
I am very interested in the spirit, the attitude that if we are no longer very good individually, but still middle age gives us the confidence that we can also rise here, at least form a very well-organized group that has an attitude that shows that he knows what he wants and who gives everything to achieve his goals.
It all starts here. I felt a different degree of concentration, even in those few training sessions before the matches. I have seen and know that the players are talking to each other, that they feel that they are on the right track. We also need a little chance, a little result.
There were also many good things, this should be a reference for us and we should draw inspiration from here.
We must make a small common front. We all know where we are, but to raise our level we have to know what we have to do and work together, because if we don’t, unfortunately we will see another final on TV.” – said Edi Iordanescu.
