Bad news for the German national team, but especially for champions Bayern Munich: Manuel Neuer has broken his leg and will miss the rest of the season.

Manuel Neuer broke his leg while on holiday and will not play again this season

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the German goalkeeper was on vacation and the episode happened while skiing.

Neuer underwent surgery on Friday and announced it on his official Instagram account on Sunday.

“What can I say, the end of the year could have been much better. While I was concentrating on skiing, I broke my tibia. I had surgery yesterday and everything went well. Thanks to the doctors! And yet it hurts to realize that the season is over for me.” – wrote Manuel Neuer.
