Erdogan: They are trying to lead us to artificial crises in the Aegean Sea and the Mediterranean New challenge to Cavusoglu: “Take a step back, otherwise we will do whatever it takes”

Turkey’s president shoots ‘arrows’ at Europe Recep Tayyip Erdogan during his speech at the General Assembly of the Turkish Confederation of Employers’ Associations.

“We live in a country where there are terrorist organizations on the southern border, which is excluded from the EU for purely political reasons, which remains subject to the “technological embargo” of the West, and all this while the Mediterranean and Aegean seas are trying to introduce us into artificial crises,” he said. he. He noted that Turkey will not kneel and has overcome all obstacles in the fight against terrorism.

“If there is any threat coming from her north SyriaWe will end this,” he said, adding: “The position of the West in the fight against terrorism is clear. Turkey has overcome all obstacles in the fight against terrorism, and if this terror comes from the north of Syria, we will end it without involving them.”

“Some say that you can’t play with Kobani like that, Kobani is finished. We have taken the necessary precautions, we are taking them and will continue to take them. Tell your terrorist friends that Turkey is not such a good place for them. Here they will suffocate as soon as they try to climb through, ”he stressed.

Cavusoglu’s new challenge: “Take a step back, otherwise we will do our best”

The Turkish President’s statements followed new extreme statements by Mevlut Cavusoglu, who again threatened Greece on the issue of demilitarization of the eastern islands of the Aegean Sea.

Answering a Turkish journalist’s question about Greece’s military exercises in Rhodes and Lesbos, the Turkish Foreign Minister said that our country continues provocations.

“Of course, one cannot remain silent in the face of this. Basically, what pissed Greece off so much was the letters we sent to the UN after Greece violated the status of these islands, the demilitarized islands. Letters containing our legal arguments,” Cavusoglu said after meeting with his Romanian counterpart Bogdan Aurescu.

He added that some of the islands were transferred to Greece under the Lausanne 1923 and Paris 1947 peace agreements on the condition that they be demilitarized, which means, according to Mr. Tsavusoglu, that our country is violating these agreements by arming them.
In fact, he claimed that Greece did not want peace: “Who is against it? against Turkey. That is, in fact, it is Greece that does not want peace. Because it violates the terms of the world.”

“Of course, when we look at their responses after submitting our legal arguments, these are entirely political and demagogic responses. Because they are wrong. No legal argument can be made. So, finally, in these letters we sent, there is a connection between the status of these islands, the status of the demilitarized islands and their sovereignty. There is a direct connection,” the Turkish Foreign Minister continued.

“We will come at night”

He also stated that “if Greece does not renounce this violation, the sovereignty of these islands will be discussed. We cannot be silent about this.”

And he threatened: “On the other hand, Greece is taking negative steps for our security, despite these agreements. He equips them. He takes other steps. Therefore, it is impossible to remain silent about them. In other words, it is Greece that violates the status of these demilitarized islands. He must give it up. Either Greece will back down and abide by these agreements, or we will do whatever it takes. That’s why our esteemed T/President says “one night out of the blue”. That is, it is impossible to remain silent and indifferent to these threats against us.”

“Here Greece does not want peace and does not comply with the agreement, does not comply with the two agreements. Therefore, we cannot be silent about them. We will continue to take the necessary measures both in the legal field and in international organizations, primarily in the UN, and in the field. We will take all necessary precautions,” Mevlut Cavusoglu said.

He emphasized, in addition, that: “That is, Greece must remember the following: He who sows the winds reaps the storms. If you don’t want peace, we’ll do whatever it takes. Suddenly one night.”
